Well, it's my first ever ORG, something I've been open about to those I've talked too. I figure that it'll either get me kicked off first or viewed as less of a threat. Still, everyone has to start somewhere.
Jill is my real world girlfriend, something I AM NOT being open about. Not quite my idea, but she was the one who got me to give ORGing a shot and is sort of being my tutorial. I understand that she believes I will be in her alliance. Well, I might. I guess if it is beneficial to use real world relationships as a firm alliance, I would go for it. But, if after the merge she's in a weak alliance and I'm not... Well, it is a game after all. Whatever helps you win.
Still, she is helpful in many ways introducing me to basic social etiquette and such. I have heard her comment on how IM conversations often tapered out. My back-up plan for this is to use chatbots, so that if I can't think of anything to say (or just don't care) the bot will do it for me. Haven't had to do this yet...
Otherwise I guess I have the couch strategies that you make when you watch survivor, you know the whole: "If I were Boston Rob, I'd do X" sort of thing. If there's one thing I've learned from the current season its that you better keep your core alliance small. The actual 2 people you want to end with, in other words. You can pretend that other people are part of it, but you'd better not believe it yourself. Otherwise you'll end up like Zapatera, thinking that 6 of you are going to merrily skip to the end of the game. You gotta vote people you said you wouldn't off sometime in this game...
Still, I am a n00b. So maybe this is pompous. I will play it as it goes, and we'll see what happens...
