hahaha it saddens me to tell you this but i have not seen Urban Legend. I thought it was a lot older than when it came out (like F13 style) so i didnt expect to be scared so i just never got around to watching it. Then u posted and i looked it up to find out it had come out around the same time Scream and I Know came out so i was like "why the fuck havent i seen this!?" lmao.. so i found it last night and watched. I thoroughly enjoyed it too!! had some good scares that even got me! and the twist was very unexpected to me... i went through the whole movie thinking it was Tara Reid's character and a male partner (most likely Wexler or Paul) going around killing them (i thought Tara was the guy the girls killed sister lmao)... so i was happy to not have seen the ending coming! Thanks for making me add another scary movie to my list of favorites haha

My favourite horror movie of all time is I Know What You Did Last Summer. Sarah Michelle Gellar's chase scene was the best part of the movie and the scene just captured how much you'd like to see her survive and how close she was to surviving. Just when hope was given to her, it's ripped away. I find many sequels for movies ruin the series. However, in the 90's when these movies came out, their sequels were perfect and never dragged the series or the characters. Scream and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer are excellent examples. I would have to say as much as I enjoyed Urban Legend, the sequel didn't do the series justice and the third one just ruined it, much like I Always Know What You Did Last Summer. Saw is an alright example of a great series. I would say Saw 1, Saw 2 and Saw 5 were my favourites. Saw 1 captured just the scary aspect more so the gore and death. Saw 2 had twists and that's what I find makes an awesome sequel. The fifth one was because I enjoyed the whole part with the five victims and how they were supposed to work together. If you want to go deep into the classics, I'd say Nightmare on Elmstreet were fun movies. I have all of them and I still enjoy watching the corny story lines and death scenes haha. There is still one series that bores me to this day and I'm actually watching it while Im typing this <3 It's Halloween. Never could get into it.

aww i love Halloween lol... the whole babysitter getting stalked terrified teens around the world. It also seemed the most realistic out of F13 and Nightmare (the same kind of genre and time). They are just fun jumpy movies where you put yourself into the person's shoes and try to figure what you would do in that situation. Out of that series i love Halloween, Halloween 2, and Halloween H20... the third shouldnt be apart of the series. And the fourth, fifth, and sixth movies werent the same without Jamie. I agree with the chase scene in I Know... Gellar acted great in that scene and i love how epic it was! Her chase in Scream 2 was also pretty good as well! Jeepers Creepers was also a pretty good flick back in the day.. but disregard its sequels.

how dare you put Saw at the bottom!!!.. its what created the franchise, what made it spawn numerous good/terrible sequels... its what primarily introduced torture porn into the world! lmao. It will always be the best out of them.. it was simple, easy to follow, and brutally shocking

It was so boring!!! The only good part was the bear trap scene. The ending was good but the rest was boring.

did u watch the others before watching the original? cause those are def a lot more fast paced... but Saw originally didnt have the money to make big traps. The story was simple.. two men chained in an abandoned bathroom have to figure out how they got there and how to get out alive... they have one hour to cut off their foot or they will be locked in their forever. It was a mind game... what do you do in that situation.. the movie is all about the clues to the puzzle and the brutal lengths one would go to survive. It plays with your head, and the suspense is what holds it all together, just to to run chills up your spine in the final moments when the climax and twist occur... not the numerous gorey traps that the other movies cashed in on. They were good, but not what it was originally all about
